BANg Action Academy at Faslane and Postcard Competition

Posted by Abolition, 12th Jun 2007 | Category: Events
The European Youth Network for Nuclear Disarmament BANg is organising several activities this summer:

We are planning an Action Academy in Glasgow/Faslane, Scotland, from 26th to 30th July. Action training and creative workshops will be part of the programme, as well as talks & meetings with Hibakusha, the Peace Boat Global University, and international experts like Rebecca Johnson, Regina Hagen and Manami Suzuki. Everyone up to 30 is invited to join - the first 30 registrations will be able to get a refund of up to 70% of their travel costs. You can find the programme and registration form for download on www.BANg-europe.org . Please spread the invitation widely!
We also invite everyone to send teddies to us for an action at Faslane Naval Base, representing the future generations.

In the run up to the Action Academy, we are organising a postcard competition, to generate ideas and motives for an awareness raising campaign on nukes among young people in Europe. The call can be found on our website as well (as on the risup lists, attachments don't work) - again, we would be very happy if you would forward it in your networks.

Lastly, we still are short of funds for several parts of the programme, so any donation would be greatly welcomed!! Please get in touch with us for details.

Peace vibes,
Emily, Luzia and Julia
